first edible garden at Rivers edge residence
In August 2015, we installed the first edible garden lots at Rivers Edge Residence (part of Bozzuto Management Company) in Medford, Massachusetts. It was a successful demonstration on how place-making could be activated through simple edible raised beds, transforming a transitional pergola into a social and ecologically productive space. Another value-add is the economic returns of the garden lots --residents could rotate and rent the garden plots at a fee, an investment that self-regenerates.
In addition, planting workshops were conducted before and after the installation to share ideas around integrating regenerative practices into modern developments. A true community building experience with residents and property management team!
